Juan Manuel Correa made nine INDY NXT by Firestone starts with HMD Motorsports in 2025, quickly establishing himself as a rising force with a podium finish at the Detroit Grand Prix in just his second race weekend. His quick adaptation to the series, combined with extensive experience in Formula 3, Formula 2, and IMSA, gives Cusick Morgan Motorsports a driver who can provide instant competitive insight and help shape the team’s performance from the ground up. Correa is also widely respected for his resilience, having overcome a life-threatening crash in 2019 to return to racing and cement himself as a serious contender on the track.

What 2026 INDY NXT race are you most excited for and why?
What 2026 INDY NXT race are you most excited for and why? Arlington. It’s a new venue, Dallas is a city I really like, and the event looks incredible so far. That said, the entire calendar is exciting — especially the ovals, which I really enjoyed last season.
Favorite IndyCar driver?
Scott Dixon. It’s a common answer, but for good reason. The level he’s maintained for so long is incredible, and by all accounts he’s also a great person.

Favorite music artist?
Chris Stapleton — I thought he should’ve won the Grammy last year, and his most recent album is one of my favorites.
Favorite movie?
The Wolf of Wall Street — but the movie I’ve watched the most is Talladega Nights.
Favorite TV show?
Prison Break
Favorite book?
I don’t have one specific favorite, but I love autobiographies — especially racing drivers’ stories. I relate to them and learn a lot from their journeys.
Favorite color?
Gold.
Favorite snacks?
I’m not a big snacker, but if I cheat, it’s salt-and-vinegar chips or jalapeño chips. I like spicy.
Pet peeves?
Small talk. I like real conversations and getting to know who people actually are. I tend to go straight into deeper topics, which can surprise people.
Dream sponsors / collaborations?
Anything aligned with my lifestyle — health, supplements, performance. I’d love to work with WHOOP; I use it religiously. Golf brands would also be amazing — clubs, pro-ams, the whole experience.

Cats are terrible pets.
“Roman Empire” / things you think about often?
I’m very competitive, and that mindset carries into business. I’m always thinking, learning, and building. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with an idea — the same way I’ll wake up during a race weekend and text my engineer because something clicked.
What are some foods/candies from your culture, childhood, or home that you think people should try?
Ecuadorian chocolate — some of the best in the world. I’d also bring traditional Ecuadorian cookies.

Most everyday problems are much smaller than we think. A small change in perspective can make life a lot happier with what you already have

At just 17 years old, Stati is already a proven talent on the international stage. His young career has included competition in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, Formula Regional Americas, GB3 Championship, F4 U.S. Championship, F4 U.A.E. Championship, and F4 Australian Championship among others. In 2024, the young Australian finished as Vice Champion in the F4 U.S. Championship, falling just 4.5 points short of the title. Additionally, Stati finished as Vice Champion in the F4 Australian Championship in the same year.
