Cusick Morgan Motorsports heads to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course this weekend to kick off the Month of May, carrying momentum from a breakthrough performance at Barber Motorsports Park and productive April testing that further strengthened the team’s development.
Following the Barber doubleheader, where Nicolas Stati scored his first INDY NXT top-ten finish, and Juan Manuel Correa delivered an eighth-place result in race two, the team used the April break to continue refining setup direction and build consistency across all areas of performance. The additional track time and preparation have positioned the team for another step forward heading into IMS.
Drivers Juan Manuel Correa and Nicolas Stati will once again represent Cusick Morgan Motorsports as the series takes on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Racing at IMS presents a standout opportunity on the calendar, with both drivers looking to continue their upward trajectory.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, a 2.439-mile, 14-turn circuit, and the Indy Grand Prix weekend kicks off racing at IMS during the Month of May.
“We’re encouraged by the progress we’ve made, especially coming out of Barber and our April test program,” said Cusick Morgan Motorsports co-owner Billy Morgan. “The extra time on track really helped us continue to improve as a team. Nicolas’ first top-ten and JM’s strong race two finish showed what we’re capable of, and now it’s about putting everything together at IMS.”
With continued development and growing confidence, the team is focused on executing across both races and building on its early-season momentum.
Track activity begins Friday with practice and qualifying, followed by race one at 4:00 PM EST. Race two will take place on Saturday at 2:30 PM EST.
Fans can catch practice, qualifying, and race one live on FS2, with race two broadcast live on FS1. All INDY NXT sessions will also be available for streaming on FOX One, the new platform carrying INDYCAR and INDY NXT coverage throughout the season.
