Cusick Morgan Motorsports brought its inaugural INDY NXT by Firestone season to a close at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, with Juan Manuel Correa and Nicolas Stati taking on the final doubleheader of the 2026 championship. After a grueling 12-event, 17-race schedule, the season ended under sunny skies and near-perfect conditions in Monterey, California.
Correa qualified 11th for Race One, while Stati lined up on the outside of row ten. When the green flag dropped, Correa quickly made his way through the field, capitalizing on a series of restarts to climb into the fourth position. The Ecuadorian American driver settled into the position and held off the competition through the closing laps to secure a strong top-five result. Stati also fought his way through a challenging race, finishing 17th after maintaining his position under pressure from the cars behind.
For Race Two, Correa qualified 18th, with Stati starting 19th. Both drivers continued to fight forward as the season came to its conclusion, with Correa gaining six positions to finish 12th and Stati moving forward to finish 15th, completing his rookie season in INDY NXT by Firestone competition.
Reflecting on the team’s first season in INDY NXT, Cusick Morgan Motorsports Co-Owners Don Cusick and Billy Morgan said, “It’s been an incredible first season for Cusick Morgan Motorsports in INDY NXT.
