Cusick Morgan Motorsports (CMM) travels to the Pacific Northwest this weekend as the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone championship continues at the flat and fast Portland International Raceway. Following the series’ most recent event at Nashville Superspeedway, the team is eager to return to road course competition and continue building momentum during the final stretch of the season.
Juan Manuel Correa enters the weekend looking to capitalize on the pace the team has shown throughout the year as he continues his pursuit of strong finishes in the championship standings. Rookie Nicolas Stati returns to a road course after completing the first oval race of his INDY NXT career in Nashville, adding another milestone to his debut season as he continues to gain valuable experience.
Portland International Raceway has long been a staple on the INDY NXT calendar. The 1.964-mile, 12-turn road course is known for long front straight, challenging opening complex of corners, and will be the home of only one wheel-to-wheel race this weekend, unlike the typical natural terrain road courses on the INDY NXT calendar to date in 2026.
“We’re excited to go to Portland,” said Billy Morgan. “The team has continued to make progress throughout the season, and we’ve seen encouraging pace from both JM and Nicolas on road courses. Portland is a track that creates opportunities, and we’re looking forward to seeing what both drivers can accomplish this weekend.”
Track activity begins Friday with practice, followed by qualifying on Saturday. The Portland Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday at 2 PM ET.
