CUSICK MORGAN MOTORSPORTS PREPARES FOR DETROIT STREET CIRCUIT CHALLENGE

Cusick Morgan Motorsports returns to action this coming weekend as the INDY NXT by Firestone Championship heads to the Streets of Detroit for an exciting weekend of competition. Set to begin with practice on Friday, round seven will take place on Sunday morning, just before the NTT INDYCAR SERIES event.

Following the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course doubleheader, where both JM Correa and Nicolas Stati gained positions throughout difficult conditions, Cusick Morgan Motorsports now shifts its focus toward the downtown Detroit street circuit, one of the most technically demanding tracks on the calendar. The barrier lined circuit and unforgiving nature of the Detroit street course will test both drivers and teams as Cusick Morgan Motorsports looks to continue its progress during the 2026 season.

Correa enters the weekend following a strong charge through the field during Race Two at Indianapolis, narrowly missing out on a top-ten finish. Meanwhile, Stati continued to show consistency, growth, and maturity throughout the weekend as he worked through the data and continued developing his race craft during the demanding doubleheader event.

The Detroit street circuit, a 1.645-mile, nine-turn temporary street course, presents a significantly different challenge compared to the flowing layout of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. Tight corners, heavy braking zones, and limited room for error will demand precision throughout the weekend as the team aims to maximize performance.

“We continue to see progress from both drivers and the team as a whole,” said Cusick Morgan Motorsports co-owner Billy Morgan. “Detroit is always a difficult race because street courses leave very little margin for mistakes, but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

Track activity begins Friday with practice, followed by practice two and qualifying on Saturday and the race at 10:30 AM ET on Sunday.

Fans can catch practice one live on FS2, with practice two, qualifying, and the race live on FS1. All INDY NXT sessions will also be available for streaming on FOX One, the new platform carrying INDYCAR and INDY NXT coverage throughout the season.
